Refund Policy

01Payment Processing
When paid subscriptions are active, billing and payment processing will be handled by a designated third-party Merchant of Record (“MoR”). The MoR acts as the legal seller for billing and tax purposes in many jurisdictions and is responsible for processing approved refunds on our behalf. This Refund Policy governs refund eligibility; disbursement is handled by the MoR.
02Monthly Subscriptions
If you are subscribed to a monthly plan and are not satisfied with the Service, you may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of your most recent charge, subject to the following conditions:
- This is your first refund request on the account; and
- You have not already received a refund within the preceding 12 months.
After the 7-day window, the monthly subscription fee for the current billing period is non-refundable. You will retain access to the Service until the end of the paid period.
03Annual Subscriptions
If you are subscribed to an annual plan, you may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of the annual charge.
After the 7-day window, annual subscription fees are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law (including the EU and UK statutory cooling-off rights described in Section 4 below).
04EU and UK Consumers — 14-Day Statutory Cooling-Off Right
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your subscription contract within 14 calendar days of purchase without giving any reason. This right arises from:
- EU: Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights, as implemented by each EU member state
- UK: Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013
To exercise this right, contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of purchase with the subject line “Statutory Withdrawal — [your account email].”
This right is in addition to — and does not replace — any other refund rights in this Policy.
4.1 Waiver for Digital Services with Immediate Access
Under EU and UK law, your 14-day statutory withdrawal right may be waived if you expressly request immediate access to digital content or services and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal.
At checkout, we will present an explicit confirmation checkbox. If you check that box confirming that you request immediate access and understand that you waive your cooling-off right, the waiver takes effect and the 14-day right will not apply. If you do not check that box, or if the confirmation was not presented at checkout, your statutory 14-day right remains in full effect.
In all cases, if you have not yet accessed or used the Service at all and the 14-day period has not expired, you retain your right of withdrawal and are entitled to a full refund. Please contact [email protected] to exercise it.
05How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please email [email protected] with the following information:
- Subject line: “Refund Request”
- The email address associated with your Intrinsic account
- The date of the charge you are requesting a refund for
- Your reason for the request (optional but helps us improve)
We aim to review all refund requests within 2 business days and will confirm approval or denial by email. Approved refunds are submitted to our payment processor for disbursement.
06Processing and Timeline
Once a refund is approved, the funds are typically returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your card network and bank. We do not control your bank’s processing time and cannot guarantee an exact date. Where applicable taxes were collected by the payment processor, the refunded amount will include those taxes.
07Exceptions — When Refunds Are Not Granted
Refunds will not be issued in the following circumstances:
- The refund request is made outside the applicable refund window and no statutory right applies;
- The account has been terminated for violation of our Terms of Service;
- A refund has already been issued on the same account within the preceding 12 months;
- The request relates to a plan downgrade (you may downgrade your plan with effect from the next billing cycle, but no partial refund is provided for the current cycle);
- The request is for charges that were expressly waived at checkout under a promotional arrangement.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that abuse our refund policy (e.g., repeated subscribe-and-refund patterns).
